The purpose of HEADSTART is to attract qualified candidates from abroad and thus ensure growth and business development in East Jutland. HEADSTART is a strategic effort that brings together and launches activities that, across attraction, reception and retention, help international candidates find their way to East Jutland.
East Jutland as a career destination
HEADSTART profiles East Jutland as an attractive career destination, by increasing the visibility of local businesses, business ecosystems and, potential career paths. In addition, HEADSTART makes a effort to profile East Jutland as an attractive place to live, with many opportunities both on and off the workplace. This profiling is achieved primarily by letting resident international employees act as ambassadors for a career in East Jutland through a joint employee advocacy program for local businesses.
Business Region Aarhus is the lead in HEADSTART with Business Region MidtVest and Copenhagen Capacity as partners. The program is budgeted at DKK 20 million, over a three-year project period.
The project's activities were started in early 2020 in collaboration with the Business Region Aarhus municipalities, business councils, educational institutions and others.
